The Longrow 18 Years Old; a smoky, complex and wonderfully waxy Campbeltown single malt.
The Jura One And All; a fine 20-year-old expression from Jura. The mix of bourbon, sherry and wine casks has worked really well with the Jura spirit. Highly recommended.
The Royal Brackla 12 Years Old; a perfectly respectable single malt and we enjoyed it, but it's overpriced.
The Benromach Peat Smoke; we really enjoyed this! Smoked meat notes with honey, lemon, spices and fresh fruit. What's not to like? A very good alternative for peat lovers that don't enjoy the medicinal and coastal style of Islay peated whiskies.
The Ironroot Republic Promethean; a powerful bourbon from the Texas based distillery; once you add some water it really opens up and releases its wonderful flavors.
The Balcones True Blue 100 Proof Straight Corn Whisky; an exceptional corn whisky from Balcones with an intense and rich taste.
The Balvenie Triple Cask 16 Years Old; a superb single malt whisky from The Balvenie. Intense, rich and complex. Wonderful stuff.
The Auchentoshan 1957 50 Years Old Cask 479; a luxuriously rich and soft single malt. 50 years in an ex-Oloroso sherry cask have given this liquid bundles of complexity and very intense flavors.
The Wolfburn Kylver Release 2; a magnificent single malt that's rich and complex. Wolfburn has once again managed to make a young whisky feel much older.
The Ironroot Harbinger Straight Bourbon Whiskey; a wild horse of a bourbon. It needs time and patience to tame it but once you do it will reward you with complexity big flavors. A beautiful bourbon.
The anCnoc 18 Years Old; this is a single malt for patient drinkers. It takes a while to really open up but, when it does, you'll be glad you waited.

Colonel EH Taylor Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon; a simple and straight-to-the-point bourbon with rich flavors.
The Hazelburn Sherry Wood 13 Years Old Oloroso Cask; an interesting dram with a wonderful nose, mediocre palate and a surprising finish.
The Highland Park Voyage of The Raven; a "good" single malt from Highland Park but nothing to write home about.
The Glengoyne 21 Years Old; a wonderful sherry-bomb single malt with heaps of balanced complexity and richness. Great value for money. Highly recommended.
The Springbank 15 Years Old; a classic single malt that ticks all of the boxes.
The Golan Heights Single Cask Edition; a fantastically made single malt whisky; it's incredibly complex and rich for such a young expression. You can tell that this was made with extreme attention to detail by someone who really loves whisky.
The Laphroaig Lore; proof that no age statement single malts can be absolutely phenomenal. Well done Laphroaig for making this beauty!
